SCECLB56 Individual
What are your views on the general principles of the Bill and
the need for legislation to deliver the Welsh Government’s
stated policy objective (to make the Senedd a more effective
legislature by ensuring it is broadly representative of the gender
make-up of the population)?
I would much rather see a bill asking for
candidates to display competence at some level instead of
discriminating based on gender. Obviously this would mean that the
majority of the Senedd would not be suitable for their roles which
would be great and we may have a fighting chance for the future
What are your views on the system of enforcement and potential
sanctions for non-compliance proposed in the Bill?
non compliance if you cannot find a woman
candidate? what if only women were submitted? i bet there would be
no sanctions for fear of public outcry. Maybe ask the Chinese
communist party for more ideas on comply or die
Are there any potential barriers to the implementation of the
Bill’s provisions? If so, what are they, and are they
adequately taken into account in the Bill and the accompanying
Explanatory Memorandum and Regulatory Impact Assessment?
I doubt that anything can be implemented
effectively in the shambles of the Senedd
Are any unintended consequences likely to arise from the
Bill?
a lot of unhappy people in the population,
always a bill for a matter that only the tiniest amount of people
care about.
What are your views on the Welsh Government’s assessment
of the financial and other impacts of the Bill?
Wouldn't trust anything the incompetent
shambles of a Welsh government put out.
What are your views on the balance between the information
contained on the face of the Bill and what is left to subordinate
legislation? Are the powers for Welsh Ministers to make subordinate
legislation appropriate?
less powers are needed for Welsh politicians
since they have a track record of proving their incompetence
Do you have any views on matters relating to the legislative
competence of the Senedd including compatibility with the European
Convention on Human Rights?
no
Do you have any views on matters related to the quality of the
legislation, or to the constitutional or other implications of the
Bill?
The people who propose these bills need
sectioning
Are there any other issues that you would like to raise about
the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum or any related
matters?
Yes, how long have you got?
Anything else?
laughable, comply or die with 'legal'
discrimination
